Some things are hard to understand while you are inside them. You are circling a decision, watching a relationship change shape, or running a business that has gotten too small for you. You are living in a version of yourself that no longer fits, or you keep seeing the same thing happen and cannot name it.
You bring me what you have. I investigate it and make you a sculpture.

The finished work exists only once. It belongs entirely to the person who commissioned it.
Each work begins with one person's situation and takes a form that has never existed before.
How it works
We start with a private conversation, and you send me written material about what is happening: your words, your questions, your history, your work, the thing you keep going back to. You can arrive without knowing what the sculpture should be. That is part of why you hire me. You can commission from anywhere: we talk online and the finished sculpture is shipped to you.
Then I investigate. I read for the places where what you say and what you do stop agreeing with each other, and for whatever keeps repeating. Before I make anything, I write down the central tension I found and send it to you with the symbolic direction of the work.
The sculpture is built from that finding. Its weight, material, texture and colour emerge from what the investigation reveals.
Hollow Crown came from one sentence: an identity can stop belonging to you and still work from the outside.
A vintage key sits inside a crown of brass wire and black yarn, and the crown fits. Your commission begins the same way: with the thing you have been trying to understand.
What you keep
Put it where you will walk past it. It can mark a decision, a change, or a habit you are leaving. You can keep it in your home or studio, give it to someone, or let it stay with one period of your life.
The object belongs to you, and everything you tell me stays confidential.
I take a limited number of commissions because each investigation requires my full attention.
