The crown is earned rather than chosen — the reward for keeping the key exactly where the system wanted it, until the woman wearing it and the system controlling her take on the same shape. Gold brass wire, wrapped in black yarn, forms an authority handed over rather than made.

Hollow Crown is a unique, one-of-one original, debuting at The Architecture of Self-Betrayal, Budapest Artineris, September 26th. It took 33 hours to build by hand and will not be remade in identical form.
Each work includes a signed certificate of authenticity, care instructions, and symbolic notes written by the artist explaining the compositional decisions within this piece.

The key sits fixed in place, the same way a system's protection turns permanent once it has been followed long enough. This is what the crown actually is: a reward for staying inside someone else's structure until she is crowned within it, not a power she built herself.
Gold brass wire, wrapped tight in black yarn, holds a shape that arrived already decided. The jacquard behind it carries the same weight — fabric selected and passed down before she ever had a say in it.
A key that stopped turning, holding up a crown she was given instead of one she chose. The compliance was real. So was the reward. Both belonged to the system the whole time.
